PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Pa John Mendy is a Gambian educator, information technology practitioner, and human resource professional with diverse experience spanning education, insurance sales, consultancy, and school administration. He is based in Brikama, The Gambia, where he contributes to human capital development through teaching, management, and community-oriented professional service.

Mr. Mendy holds a Diploma in Information Technology, a Diploma in Human Resource Management, and an Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management. His academic background reflects a strong interdisciplinary foundation that combines technical competence with people management and organizational development.

He began his professional career as a Sales Representative at Enterprise Life Assurance (2013–2014), gaining experience in customer relations and service delivery within the insurance industry. He later transitioned into the education sector, building a solid teaching career across several institutions.

From 2014 to 2018, he served as a Teacher at Anna Marie Revier Basic Cycle School, followed by a teaching appointment at Jados Academic School in 2019. He later worked as a Computer Teacher at St. John School, Farafenni (2019–2020), and at St. Francis Senior and Junior Secondary School (2020–2022), where he taught computer studies and supported students in developing digital literacy skills.

Since 2017, Mr. Mendy has also served as Manager and Field Supervisor at West End Gateway Consultancy, overseeing field operations, supervising staff, and supporting consultancy assignments.

Mr. Mendy possesses strong technical skills in computer repair and maintenance, as well as software and hardware installation. He is multilingual, with proficiency in English, Portuguese Creole (Kriol), Mandinka, and Wolof.

His professional objective is to serve as an enlightened leader, inspirational speaker, and social entrepreneur, using education, technology, and management to drive positive social change. His interests include reading, music, writing, research, travel, acting, and entertainment.
