Mr. Lamin Touray is an accomplished academic and administrator with over three decades of professional experience in education, management, and administration. He is widely recognized for his commitment to higher education excellence, institutional development, and research in the energy sector.

Mr. Touray currently serves as Assistant Registrar (Admissions & Financial Aid) at the University of The Gambia (UTG), where he oversees admissions, student records, scholarships, and recruitment strategies. His leadership in university administration is marked by innovation, efficiency, and a people-centered approach. Prior to this role, he held key administrative positions within UTG, including Administrative Officer and Administrative Assistant in both the Admissions and Human Resources Departments.

Academically, Mr. Touray holds a Master of Science in Business Administration (International Business) and a Bachelor of Science in Management (Finance minor) from the University of The Gambia. His master’s research focused on the impact of corporate social responsibility activities of energy companies in The Gambia, demonstrating his research acumen and interest in sustainable energy management. He also holds Advanced Diplomas in Business Management (GTTI) and Banking and Finance (Banutu Business College).

Alongside his administrative leadership, Mr. Touray has built a distinguished teaching career. He serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of The Gambia, Lecturer at the Management Development Institute (MDI), and Former Lecturer and Director at Banutu Business College. His teaching expertise covers subjects such as Sales Management, International Marketing, Leadership, Policy Analysis, and Financial Management.

Beyond academia, Mr. Touray has presented research internationally, including at the RAIS International Conference (2024), where he delivered a paper on Corporate Social Responsibility of Oil and Gas Companies in The Gambia. He has also participated in professional development programs in Lithuania, The Gambia, and with the National Training Authority.

Mr. Touray is an active member of several professional and community organizations, including the University of The Gambia Staff Association, Mandinary Sports Association, and the Red Cross Society. His skills span research, leadership, negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and digital proficiency, with advanced command of Microsoft Office and SPSS.
