Modou’s professional experience reveals his growing expertise in financial management, budgeting, and partnership development. He presently serves as Finance Officer at the Salimatou Foundation for Education and as Finance and Partnership Officer (Intern) at Be Inspired Internationally. In these roles, he oversees budgeting processes, expenditure tracking, donor relations, and financial reporting to ensure transparency, accountability, and strategic resource allocation. His ability to blend financial prudence with developmental goals highlights a deep understanding of how finance can serve as a tool for social transformation. Furthermore, his experience as Deputy Finance Minister of the University of The Gambia Students’ Union enabled him to manage funds, monitor petty cash transactions, and support student-led financial initiatives—further demonstrating his leadership and administrative competence.
Beyond his official duties, Modou’s passion for youth empowerment is evident in his work as Coordinator of the Mingdaw Business Club, where he organized financial literacy workshops and entrepreneurship programs for students. His efforts in these capacities have contributed significantly to nurturing a generation of young Gambians equipped with practical business knowledge and leadership skills. His consistent service has earned him the Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Citation Award, a recognition bestowed upon students who exhibit outstanding leadership, academic commitment, and dedication to community service.

Fluent in both English and Mandinka, with basic proficiency in Wollof, Modou’s multilingual abilities enhance his effectiveness in engaging diverse communities across The Gambia.
